From Potential Conflict to Cooperation Potential (PCCP) facilitates multi-level and interdisciplinary dialogues in order to foster peace, co-operation and development related to the management of transboundary water resources. Housed within The International Hydrological Programme (IHP), and a contribution to World Water Assessment Programme (WWAP), PCCP addresses situations where water users need support to manage their transboundary water resources in a peaceful and equitable manner. It capitalizes on the desire of the concerned parties to successfully manage their transboundary water resources in order to create a foundation upon which peace and cooperation are consolidated.

International Center for Integrated Water Resources Management (ICIWaRM) is a UNESCO Category II water center headquartered at the U.S. Army Engineer Institute for Water Resources in Virginia, USA. ICIWaRM is a consortium of various agenices, universities, and NGOs that collaborate in support of UNESCO-IHP's objectives. This center focuses on the advancement in research and implementation of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). OSU's PWCMT and Institute for Water and Watersheds have signed an MOU with ICIWaRM to establish the partnership to facilitate cooperation between the organizations.

International Water Management Institute (IWMI) is one of 15 international research centers supported by the network of 60 governments, private foundations and international and regional organizations collectively known as the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). It is a non-profit organization with offices in over 10 countries and with headquarters in Colombo, Sri Lanka. IWMI's Mission is to improve the management of land and water resources for food, livelihoods and the environment.

The Universities Consortium on Columbia Basin Governance includes the University of British Columbia, the University of Idaho, the University of Montana, Oregon State University, and the University of Washington. The Consortium has initiated a series of annual symposia, to help inform the process and determine some of the scenarios and outcomes that might influence Columbia River Basin decisions.

Universities Partnership for Water Cooperation and Diplomacy is a consortium of academic expertise in fields related to water resources conflict prevention and resolution, including research institutions on five continents. The coordination is shared by the Geneva Water Hub (Switzerland) along with six universities including the German-Kazakh University (Kazakhstan), IHE Delft Institute for Water Education (The Netherlands), Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (India), the International Water Management Institute (Sri Lanka), Oregon State University (USA), the University for Peace (Costa Rica), and the University of Zimbabwe.
